The Measure of a Man
Thierry Taugourdeau (Vincent Lindon) is 51 and has spent twenty months on unemployment, sitting through job-centre meetings and training courses that lead nowhere. When a new job finally comes through, it puts him on the other side of a question he has to answer every day: how much is he willing to accept to keep it? Stéphane Brizé films it in a plain, naturalistic style that treats ordinary rooms and ordinary conversations as the whole drama.
