Eddie Yang (Jackie Chan), a Hong Kong detective, wants to bring down the crime lord Snakehead (Julian Sands) before he gets his hands on a mysterious medallion. A fatal accident involving that medallion leaves Eddie transformed into an immortal warrior with superhuman powers. Gordon Chan keeps the film moving at a run, with Eddie and his bickering partner Arthur Watson (Lee Evans) always one step behind or ahead of the next fight.
