The Meetings of Anna

In 1978, the filmmaker Anna Silver (Aurore Clément) travels to Germany to show her latest film, moving from one hotel and train station to the next. Chantal Akerman follows her through a few days of meetings with old acquaintances and strangers, some of whom confide in her. Each of them tells Anna a personal secret, and she listens, offers little in return, and keeps her distance.
