The Meg

“Pleased to eat you.”

A seventy-foot predator, long thought extinct, is moving below the floor of the Mariana Trench, and it has just disabled a submersible full of trapped researchers. Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham), a deep sea rescue pilot haunted by an earlier dive, is called in to reach them, alongside oceanographer Suyin (Li Bingbing). Jon Turteltaub keeps the pace brisk and the action loud, aiming the whole film at a crowd.
