Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) and his date Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) board a boat to a remote island, bound for a restaurant where a dozen guests have paid a fortune to eat one fixed menu. Chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes) introduces each course himself, and the dishes come with instructions and a few surprises. Mark Mylod stages the dining room as a sleek, hushed stage, keeping the camera on the plates and the people watching them.
