The Mercenary

“He sells death to the highest bidder! Buy or die!”

Sergei Kowalski (Franco Nero), a Polish mercenary in Mexico in the 1910s, sells his gun to whoever pays and has no use for anyone's cause. He takes on Paco Roman (Tony Musante), a peasant who dreams of a revolution, and Sergio Corbucci follows the two of them from village to village as the vengeful Curly (Jack Palance) trails behind. Kowalski teaches and Paco learns, and each pulls the other toward the thing he swore he would never become.
