The Mighty Quinn

“The chief of police and the chief suspect know each other too well to let a little thing like murder get in their way.”

Xavier Quinn (Denzel Washington) is the police chief on a Caribbean island, and he wants to clear his oldest friend, Maubee, of a murder the governor is eager to pin on him. The dead man is Donald Pater, one of the island's richest residents, found decapitated in his Jacuzzi. Carl Schenkel's film puts Quinn between the powerful men who want the case closed and a childhood friend who may hang for it.
