The Milagro Beanfield War

A broken irrigation valve sends water onto a patch of dry ground in a tiny New Mexico town, and a beanfield gets planted where nobody was supposed to farm. Ladd Devine (Richard Bradford) and the developers who want the land for a golf resort take notice, and Sheriff Bernabe Montoya (Rubén Blades) is caught between his neighbors and the men in suits. Robert Redford directs it as a comedy with some dust on it, letting the town's people fill the frame.
