A subway construction crew in New York digs up an eight hundred year old Celtic skeleton and a strange key. Archeologist Karen Goodleaf (Françoise Robertson) is called in to read it, while Lukas Sadorov (Dolph Lundgren), a warrior monk sent from a Middle East monastery, races toward the city. Jean-Marc Piché sets it on Christmas Eve, 1999, with Karen's body already taken by the Minion.
