The Miracle of Bern

A West German family in 1954 has a father the youngest boy has never known, because Richard Lubanski (Peter Lohmeyer) has been in Russia for eleven years and is only now coming home. Matthias (Louis Klamroth) has the national soccer team to follow, while Sönke Wortmann sets the household's strain beside the team's run toward the World Cup final in Bern. Matthias waits in the family home, a boy with a father he has to meet for the first time.
