“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the murderer among them all?”

Miss Marple (Angela Lansbury) is an elderly woman in a quiet English village who notices more than anyone gives her credit for. When a local woman is poisoned at a party for a visiting film star, she comes to believe the cup was meant for someone else. Guy Hamilton fills the village with movie people, among them Jason Rudd (Rock Hudson) and Inspector Craddock (Edward Fox), and lets Marple work through them at a polite, teacup pace.
