The Mirror Has Two Faces

“A story about just how wrong two people can be before they can be right.”

Rose Morgan (Barbra Streisand) teaches Romantic Literature at a university and still lives with her mother, Hannah (Lauren Bacall), while she waits for the passion she lectures about. Gregory Larkin (Jeff Bridges), a mathematics professor, has been burned by exactly that and wants a marriage built on friendship and respect. Streisand directs and stars, and the two of them meet across a lecture hall, the books and the equations stacked on opposite sides.
