The Missing Person

“John Rosow is a private investigator. And an alcoholic. He just got the case of his life.”

A stranger hires John Rosow (Michael Shannon) at the last minute, with no name given, to follow a middle-aged man onto the California Zephyr bound for Los Angeles. Rosow is a former New York cop turned Chicago private investigator who drinks to forget, and he takes the job anyway. Noah Buschel sends him west under the grainy light of a 70s noir, the train carrying a man who seems to have no use for sleep.
