The Monkey King: Uproar in Heaven

“You tell your Jade Emperor, accept my title or I'll ruin his Palace!”

Sun Wukong (Qiu Yuefeng) is the King of the Monkeys, restless and sure of himself, and he sets out on his first adventure to win a weapon worthy of him. The trip draws the notice of the Jade Emperor (Fu Runsheng), who rules over Heaven. Wan Laiming, working with all four Wan brothers, adapts the early chapters of Journey to the West, and at its heart is a plain question of who gets to give orders and who gets to refuse them.
