A desolate country road at night, rain coming down, and a car that has stopped working. Kathy (Zoe Kazan) is driving her daughter Lizzy (Ella Ballentine) to her father's house, and the two have barely spoken a kind word to each other the whole way. Bryan Bertino keeps the camera close and the dark pressed up against the windshield, so the woods feel like they are listening.
