The Most Precious of Cargoes

Trains pass through a great forest all day, and no one in the woodcutter's house knows where they are going. His wife (Dominique Blanc) finds a baby girl in the snow, thrown from one of them, and keeps her. Michel Hazanavicius tells it as a fairy tale in Jean-Louis Trintignant's last narration, a poor couple in the cold with a war all around them, and a child sleeping between them.
