The Mule

“Nobody runs forever”

Earl Stone (Clint Eastwood), a man in his eighties, needs money badly. His business faces foreclosure, and he is alone. A stranger offers him work that only requires driving, and Earl takes it without knowing he has become a courier for a Mexican cartel. Clint Eastwood directs and stars, with Bradley Cooper as Colin Bates, the DEA agent closing in. Behind the plot is a plainer idea, that a man can spend a lifetime on his work and lose the people who mattered.
