The Mysterians

“Space weapons mobilize! A great battle between Earth forces and the gruesome mystery planet people, the Mysterians!”

In 1957 Japan, a village disappears overnight, and then a giant robot walks out of the hills toward the city. The Mysterians, survivors of a planet wrecked by its own wars, say they come in peace and ask for a small patch of land and the right to marry earthling women. Ishirō Honda sets Kenji Sahara and Akihiko Hirata among those who must decide whether to give in or fight, and the question is how much of yourself you hand over to avoid another war.
