Jean-Michel Rouche (Fabrice Luchini) is a literary critic, skeptical and stubborn, who does not believe a pizza cook wrote a masterpiece. The novel by Henri Pick was found in a Breton library that keeps only rejected manuscripts, and it has become a huge best-seller. Rémi Bezançon sends him after the truth alongside Joséphine (Camille Cottin), Pick's daughter, while his own reputation hangs on being right.
