The Mystery of the Rocks of Kador

A young heiress, Suzanne de Lormel (Suzanne Grandais), has a fortune that her uncle, Comte Fernand de Kéranic, badly needs to cover his debts. He starts working against her, and Professor Williams (Émile Keppens) and Captain Jean d'Erquy (Max Dhartigny) are drawn into the question of what is being done to her and why. Léonce Perret, who also plays the count, directs this 1912 silent in a plain, steady style that keeps the household's pressure out of the frame.
