(1986)Directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud130 min · RDrama, Thriller, Mystery
“Who, in the name of God, is getting away with murder?”

Several monks at a remote 14th-century abbey have died in ways no one will explain, and the dead keep coming. William of Baskerville (Sean Connery), a Franciscan friar, arrives with his young novice Adso (Christian Slater) and begins asking questions in Jean-Jacques Annaud's film. Bernardo Gui (F. Murray Abraham) is on his way, and any answer William finds could cost him his standing with the Church.
