“Hurry! Hurry! Throw out the "laff" line!”

Rollo Treadway (Buster Keaton) is a rich, impulsive man who proposes to his neighbor Betsy O'Brien (Kathryn McGuire) on a sudden whim. She says no, and he sails on the honeymoon cruise anyway. Keaton directed with Donald Crisp, and through a mix-up Rollo and Betsy end up alone on the wrong ship, adrift on the open sea with no crew and no idea how to run the vessel, and the water will not wait for them to learn.
