The Neon Bible

(1995)Directed by Terence Davies92 minDrama

David (Jacob Tierney) is fifteen and riding a train, and he wants to make sense of how he got there, so he goes back to the Georgia town of his childhood in the 1940s. His father enlists in the army and disappears, leaving the boy at ten (Drake Bell) to look after his mother with his Aunt Mae (Gena Rowlands), a singer. Terence Davies filmed it in Atlanta, Crawfordville and Madison, and the whole story is seen from that train window.
