The Neon Demon

“Beauty is vicious.”

Jesse (Elle Fanning) steps off the bus in Los Angeles as a young aspiring model, and the fashion industry notices her almost at once. Ruby (Jena Malone), Gigi (Bella Heathcote) and Sarah (Abbey Lee), all models with beauty to protect, watch her draw attention they feel belongs to them. Nicolas Winding Refn builds the story on a plain idea: in this world, looking young and perfect is the only currency, and everyone wants what Jesse has.
