Jesse arrives in Los Angeles as a model with a face that stops photographers mid-shoot, and the industry's older women begin circling. Ruby (Jena Malone), Gigi (Bella Heathcote), and Sarah (Abbey Lee) pull her into their nights as her bookings multiply. Refn shoots the city in chrome and hot pink, each frame a surface so perfect it feels like a threat, because in this world beauty is a resource that runs out, and there is only so much of it.
