The Net

“A man trapped in the net against his will.”

Nam Chul-woo (Ryoo Seung-bum) is a poor North Korean fisherman who wants nothing more than to get his nets back in the water and return to his wife. When his boat drifts south, the South Korean authorities treat him as a defector and an ambitious military officer sets about training him as a spy. Kim Ki-duk puts one man between two states, and neither of them has any use for him as a man.
