The Night of the Generals

“Patriotism has been known to have its vicious side.”

Major Grau (Omar Sharif), a German intelligence officer in occupied Warsaw, is handed the murder of a prostitute and a short list of suspects, all of them generals. Two of the three are also tied up in a plot against Hitler, which makes every question Grau asks a risk to him. Anatole Litvak follows the investigation through the files and interviews, and Grau keeps pressing on a case his superiors would like him to drop.
