The Night of the Iguana
“One man... three women... one night”
In 1964, on the Mexican coast, the Reverend T. Lawrence Shannon (Richard Burton), a defrocked Episcopal clergyman, is leading a bus-load of middle-aged Baptist women on a tour. The trip brings him to a rundown hotel run by Maxine Faulk (Ava Gardner), where Hannah Jelkes (Deborah Kerr) is also staying. John Huston keeps Shannon in the middle of it, a worn man on a bus, haunted by the failure that follows him.
