The Nightmare Before Christmas

(1993)Directed by Henry Selick76 min · PGFantasy, Animation, Family
“A holiday film for the whole family... except yours.”

Jack Skellington (Chris Sarandon, with Danny Elfman singing), the spindly king of Halloween Town, has grown tired of the same scares every October 31, and he can't say why. Then he finds Christmas Town, and Henry Selick follows his obsession with a holiday he doesn't understand. Sally, the rag-doll girl who loves him, watches from the edge of town as Jack's thin shadow stretches across the graveyard.
