(1980)Directed by William Peter Blatty118 min · RDrama, Comedy, Horror, Mystery, Thriller
“How do you fight a war called madness?”

Colonel Hudson Kane (Stacy Keach) arrives at a secluded gothic castle that the army has turned into an asylum for soldiers who have cracked. Blatty, making his first film as director, has Kane answer their delusions with a reserved calm, letting each man act out whatever he believes. Kane's closest contact is Captain Billy Cutshaw (Scott Wilson), whose questions about him go deeper than anyone else's in the place.
