The Noose

Kuba Kowalski (Gustaw Holoubek) is an alcoholic who has lost his grip on his life, and the film follows him through a single day. His girlfriend Krysia (Aleksandra Śląska) stays beside him, trying to help him take control again. Wojciech Has adapts a Marek Hłasko short story, and across those hours Kuba stands to lose both the woman who is helping him and whatever is left of himself.
