The Notorious Bettie Page

“The Pin-Up Sensation That Shocked The Nation.”

A churchgoing girl from Tennessee turns up in 1950s New York and becomes the most photographed pin-up in the country, and nobody can quite say what the pictures did to people. Mary Harron follows Bettie Page (Gretchen Mol) through the studios of Irving Klaw (Chris Bauer) until a Senate investigation into pornography lands on her. Bettie keeps seeing the pictures as harmless fun, and the film leaves that belief standing against the hearing room.
