The Nun

“Pray for forgiveness.”

Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) is a young nun still in her novitiate, uncertain of her calling, when she is summoned to a remote convent in 1952 Romania to investigate a death. There she meets Father Burke (Demián Bichir), a priest sent by the Church, and together they begin to uncover a demonic presence that inhabits the convent, a nun-shaped darkness that moves through shadow. Irene's faith fractures as she realizes the cost of staying.
