The Nun's Story

“From the very beginning, she was not like the others...”

Why would the daughter of a wealthy Belgian family give up everything she has to enter a convent? Fred Zinnemann follows Gabrielle van der Mal, who becomes Sister Luke (Audrey Hepburn), through the long, strict years of her training, the missions she hopes for, and the war that arrives. Every vow asks her to give up another part of herself, and she keeps counting what each one takes.
