The Oath

Finnur (Baltasar Kormákur) is a surgeon in Iceland, a father who has built his life around his family and his work. His daughter Anna (Hera Hilmar) is dating Óttar (Gísli Örn Garðarsson), a criminal whose presence in their lives keeps getting harder to ignore. Kormákur, who also directed, sets a father against a threat he cannot make go away, and the safety of his family is what Finnur stands to lose.
