The Odd Couple

“...say no more.”

Felix Ungar (Jack Lemmon) has just been left by his wife, and he wants somewhere to put himself and a way to keep it all tidy. His friend Oscar Madison (Walter Matthau), a sports journalist who lives in cheerful disorder, offers him a room. Gene Saks, working from Neil Simon's play, sets the two men down in one New York apartment, and Felix starts in on the housekeeping, which Oscar did not ask for.
