The Oily Maniac

Sheng Yung (Danny Lee Sau-yin), a crippled man scorned by the people around him, learns a magic spell that turns his body into a slick, oily monster. Ho Meng-Hua sends the creature after the criminals who wronged him, and the film moves fast, with its rubbery effects shot in grainy 1970s color. Underneath the slime is a plain idea: a man treated as nothing will find some way to be feared.
