The Oldest Profession

In the prehistoric segment, Brit (Michèle Mercier) trades herself to Rak (Enrico Maria Salerno) and a visiting Trader (Gabriele Tinti) for whatever each man has to give. In Rome, Domitilla (Elsa Martinelli) works the night opposite Flavius (Gastone Moschin). Six directors, Philippe de Broca and Jean-Luc Godard among them, each take one era, and every segment risks the same thing: that the buyers and sellers will be treated as a joke.
