Egon Olsen (Ove Sprogøe) comes out of his latest prison term with a head full of what he picked up inside, and a plan built on it. He sets his sidekicks Benny (Morten Grunwald) and Kjeld (Poul Bundgaard) on the unaltered financial records of DanInvest, which would hand the gang most of the stock in Magasin du Nord. Erik Balling sends them as far as the EEC headquarters in Brussels, where the main vault sits and a tank is parked.
