The Opposite of Sex

“You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be offended”

Dedee Truitt (Christina Ricci), sixteen and fresh off a funeral, turns up at the house of her half-brother Bill (Martin Donovan), a gay schoolteacher, and soon sets her sights on his boyfriend Matt. Don Roos, directing his first feature, has Dedee narrate the whole mess herself, flatly and without apology. Under the lies and the borrowed lovers, Bill and Dedee are two people with the same dead mother who barely know how to be family.
