Kay Hilliard (June Allyson), a former radio singer, hears from her gossipy friends that her husband Steve has been seeing the chorus girl Crystal Allen (Joan Collins). She goes to Reno to file for divorce, then learns Crystal is making Steve unhappy and decides she wants him back. David Miller turns the 1939 comedy The Women into a musical, and the story rests on a plain idea: the women around you will always know your business before you do.
