The Order of Time

A group of friends gathers by the sea for a birthday, the kind of evening that should run on food and old stories. Then comes word that the world may end within hours, and Pietro (Alessandro Gassmann) and Elsa (Claudia Gerini) are left to spend that night with the others. Liliana Cavani, working from a screenplay shaped with the physicist Carlo Rovelli, keeps the whole film inside that one night.
