The Other End

Diogo (Tom Karabachian) is seventeen and has a habit he keeps secret: he phones the women who see his mother, a therapist, and listens to them on the line. One of them is Ângela (Karine Teles), forty-three, just left by her husband, who takes the silent caller for him and starts to wait for the calls. Felipe Sholl builds the film around two people connected by a phone line, letting the long quiet on it carry what neither will say.
