The Outlaw Josey Wales

“...an army of one.”

The Civil War has just ended in Missouri, and Josey Wales (Clint Eastwood), a farmer who turned guerrilla after his family was murdered, has no home left to go back to. Soldiers and bounty hunters follow him west, and a wary old Cherokee, Lone Watie (Chief Dan George), is among the strays who start trailing him. Eastwood directs himself as a man who wants to travel alone and keeps finding people he can't walk away from.
