The Outrun

“You can't outrun your fate”

Rona (Saoirse Ronan) is 29 and just out of rehab, and the question hanging over her return to the Orkney Islands is whether the place she ran from as a girl can hold her now. After more than a decade in London, where she found love and lost it, she walks the wild coast she grew up on while old memories crowd in beside the recent ones. Nora Fingscheidt cuts between Rona's childhood and her recovery, letting the two timelines bleed into each other.
