The Outside Man
“If you kill the most powerful man in organized crime, they've got the rest of your life to get you.”
Lucien Bellon (Jean-Louis Trintignant), a French hit man, flies to Los Angeles wanting only to finish a paid job on a rival mobster and get home. Jacques Deray follows him through the city after the boss who hired him is killed, leaving a stranger in a foreign town with strangers hunting him. The film is about a man whose trade depends on staying anonymous, and what happens to him when nobody will say who wants him gone.
