The Outsider

Jérôme Kerviel (Arthur Dupont) is an anonymous junior trader at Société Générale who badly wants to be noticed. He gets his chance on a desk run by Keller (François-Xavier Demaison), where the work is fast and the money is huge, just as the 2008 financial crisis begins to build. Christophe Barratier films the trading floor in sleek, glassy light and follows Jérôme's climb at the pace of a slow unraveling.
