The Outsiders

“They grew up on the outside of society. They weren't looking for a fight. They were looking to belong.”

A fight between two Tulsa gangs in the 1960s ends in a death, and Ponyboy Curtis (C. Thomas Howell) and Johnny Cade (Ralph Macchio) have to run. They belong to the Greasers, the poor kids on the wrong side of town, and the Socs they fight have money and cars. Francis Ford Coppola follows the two boys through their hiding, and what holds them together there is a loyalty that Dallas Winston (Matt Dillon) can only watch from the edge.
