The Pajama Game

Babe Williams (Doris Day) works the sewing floor at an Iowa pajama factory and speaks for the workers when they ask for a seven-and-a-half-cent raise. Then the new superintendent, Sid Sorokin (John Raitt), arrives, hired by the boss to help hold the line on pay. George Abbott and Stanley Donen set the two of them on opposite sides of the bargaining table, with a romance running underneath that neither can keep out of the argument.
