The night is New Year's Eve 1999, and every room of a luxury hotel in the Swiss Alps is filling with guests who all expect a perfect evening. Hansueli (Oliver Masucci) runs the floor while the Marquise (Fanny Ardant) and Arthur William Dallas III (John Cleese) look on, and Roman Polanski keeps the whole house in view. A penguin gets loose, the millennium bug looks like a chance to profit, and Hansueli and the Marquise cross paths all night with the party.
