The Paper Man

Adán (Ignacio López Tarso) is a deaf and mute vagabond who lives off what he finds at the edge of Mexico City. One day he pulls a large-denomination bill out of a dump and carries it into the streets to buy food. Ismael Rodríguez follows him from stall to stall, where Adán holds up the bill in his dirty hand and every stranger looks at it before they look at him.
